An unobtrusive, ancient healing modality re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, Reiki works to calm, heal, energize, relax, and rejuvenate.  Many have reported effects nothing less than miraculous.

Reiki, literally translated, is a Spirit (or God)-guided life force energy.  Usui Reiki is a Japanese hands-on and remote-distance healing technique that works on all levels of the physical, mental, and emotional body. It is based on the idea that cosmic, life-force energy surrounds us and if channeled correctly, can restore balance to the body, enabling it to heal itself on a multitude of levels.

Reiki is a complement to more traditional western medicine provided by doctors, nurses and hospitals.  As a complementary or alternative medicine, Reiki does not require licensing by the state.

In Reiki sessions, the client sits or lies down fully clothed. The practitioner places her hands on or above the body and allows the REIKI to radiate from the hands.

Power Animal Journeys are another way to reconnect with our deepest selves and not only seek, but find answers from within by accessing and communicating with our animal spirit guide.  Through guided meditation and counseling, Shamsi assists each individaul in connecting with their animal spirit guide and providing tools for continued "solo" work after the initial session is over.  Follow-up communications with Shamsi are included as part of this service.
